STILL by Wan Vincy Chan is a multi-disciplinary performance exploring themes of grief, gender and nostalgia. After the sudden passing of their father, siblings Sai Biu and Nita attempt to reconcile their relationship, untangling tensions that have caused them to fall distant. Set in a fictional reimagination of Hong Kong, this work incorporates original song, theatrical storytelling, poetry and anime-inspired illustrations, reflecting the retrofuturistic qualities of this setting.
STILL is part of Vincy's larger project reflecting on queer history and representation, particularly Hong Kong's place in global culture making.
Recipient of Adelaide Festival Centre's 2026 InSPACE x Feast Festival residency, this work is now in its final stage of development. These showings will enable the creative team to gain crucial feedback which will help inform the work's eventual world premiere, planned for 2027.

You probably already know me from reading the news. In 2018, I dressed up as a sewing needle and hid inside a strawberry.
There should be a French word for the moment you realize a bald dude actually has a ponytail.
I'm so used to failure that success represents an existential threat.

From sacred visions to armour and arms, explore the embodied rituals of devotion and defence in the medieval world, and their echoes in our own.
Join us at ACE on Saturday 7 November for a day exploring the body as a site of devotion, endurance and mystical revelation. A brief opening lecture will introduce medieval traditions of religious enclosure, restraints, self-flagellation and mystical ecstasy, tracing the histories and practices that inform Emiko Artemis's anchorhold installation within 'Leaves: Eco-Anxiety', and their ensuing performance.
Emiko will share insights into their practice and the performance, which marks the culmination of their two-year studio residency at ACE. From the inward intensity of the anchorhold to the weight and movement of armour and arms: the day concludes with a demonstration of medieval weaponry by Magnaura, the Adelaide chapter of the New Varangian Guard, whose living history practice recreates the cultures of the Byzantine world.
