Katie Noonan - Alone but All One Tour - Launceston

Sat, 14 Nov, 8:00 pm AEDT

Launceston · Check price with organiser

Five times ARIA Award winning artist Katie Noonan has released her 30th studio album: Alone but All One. The album is an intimate and powerful exploration of love in all its stages and features Katie's first songwriting collaboration with acclaimed writer Trent Dalton. The album is a powerful and delicate offering with Katie's piano and a string quartet the only accompaniment for her exquisite vocal performance. Alone but All One is a quiet turning inward - a return to something essential. Musically it is very stripped back - just Katie, her piano and a string quartet, recorded live in her lounge room on Gubbi Gubbi Country in the hills behind Nambour, Queensland. It feels like a deep breath before the next chapter. The creative intention is clear: to honour this moment, share it with care, and trust that others will feel themselves in it too.

In the garden, relax under the shade of a 180-year-old oak tree, wander through the flower beds and Victorian kitchen garden and send the children in search of Patrick’s Pails. Patrick Lambert was a 19th century gardener at The Hollies. The Metro Bus services, numbers 40 and 50 from the City to Franklin village, stop outside the House. Nearby and also accessible is St James Church which was built in 1845 and has many associations with the House; Launceston CBD (including Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery); Jospeh Chromy Wines; Tamar Valley Wine Route and Tamar River Cruises; Evandale Village and Clarendon.
