Orange Regional Gallery is delighted to present Nike Savvas: Purple Haze, a major new exhibition featuring previous works alongside a spectacular new iteration of Savvas' acclaimed Atomic series.
Celebrated for her large-scale, vibrant installations that blend elements of painting, sculpture and kinetic art, Savvas's work invites playful engagement alongside thoughtful contemplation.
Developed in partnership with the Art Gallery of New South Wales and proudly supported by TLE Electrical, the exhibition centres around Atomic: Purple Haze (2026), a vast, exploding, and atomised three-dimensional painted landscape filling an entire gallery.
Also included in the exhibition is Rally (2014), originally commissioned for the Art Gallery of New South Wales' entrance court. In Rally, cascades of colour unfold through suspended strips that echo the flickering energy of Impressionist brushstrokes, extending painting beyond the canvas and into surrounding space.
Through vibrant colour, kinetic energy, and immersive scale, Nike Savvas: Purple Haze transforms Orange Regional Gallery into an unforgettable experience pulsing with memory, movement and connection to landscape.
Nike Savvas is represented by ARC ONE Gallery, Melbourne.
A Closer Look encapsulates Graham Lupp's passion for the landscape around Bathurst, where he was born. This has been a lifelong fascination, stemming from his childhood and times spent fishing with his father. In this exhibition, Lupp explores the notion of the Sublime, a concept in which an experience of grandeur, particularly in relation to the natural landscape, evokes awe, wonder and sometimes terror. In the Australian bush he finds the compelling combination of beauty, mystery and melancholy. Lupp's large acrylic paintings, alongside small intimate studies in pastel and gouache, meticulously detail intertwining masses of branches, limbs and trunks. Dark shadows lurk threateningly within, but Lupp suffuses the paintings with glorious late afternoon light, creating a softness that balances the dark.
Secret Garden brings together original paintings and ceramics by Pia Kuykhoven and Phoebe Turner in a celebration of colour, flowers and the enchanting details of the natural world.

Across painting and ceramic works, Pia and Phoebe each bring their own distinctive way of seeing nature, creating a collection that feels joyful, curious and a little bit magical.
